Charity team building promoting play & real team spirit!
Feel like having loads of fun, working and collaborating closely with team mates for a good cause, and also putting some smiles on some kids faces?
Think 'Kids Games for Adults' mixed with business metaphors, and crossing teamwork with the impact of giving, creative painting crossed with paying-it-forward!
As part of XL Events very popular team building for charity initiative, 'Is there an I in TEAM' is an uber-fun game, where your people will be idea sharing - they’ll be creating – and playing – and giving away.
Teams receive their work-order, time constraints, tools and all supplies needed. In typical XL fashion, it’s loaded with metaphors and opportunities to demonstrate the virtues of good teamwork and citizenship. The more success the teams achieve, the more money they raise for their Chosen Kids Charity.
The activity drives home the message that there is an I in Team - and that the 'I' is them. Everyone has something special to give... a skill, an idea, experience, a talent, some vision, whatever it may be.
By providing a fun and open forum for identifying what each of us has to offer, we succeed as a team! For the most value in everything you do, you’ll want to give your best.
We will assist teams with live tips and install the theme of ‘Process Improvement’, and by focusing on solutions rather than problems, proving that anything is possible.
How does it work?
Intro/Context – Overview of project and how it connects to your values/themes/context. TeamXL will liaise with you to offer insights and suggestions on how to ensure you get most value from the program.
Build it – Teams of ten brainstorms and build a photo booth in a fast paced and easy to construct team challenge. Build it in the given time and teams earn extra $50 into the charity pot!
Play it – A quick game or tournament, with teams attempting to hit the target and get as many balls through the hole as possible in the given time frame. Each jackpot and $10 goes into the charity pot!
Paint it – The more balls in the hole, the more coloured paint the team receives. Since these games are being donated to kids’ charities, each team needs to give their booth as much original and artistic design and personality as possible. More $ in the pot for decorated booths!
Donate it – You choose to whom, how and when you’ll donate it, and we will arrange the charity representative (and maybe even some kids) to come and collect the games, the balls and any left-over paint kits from the day. The money pot is counted and donated directly to the charity for much needed supplies and projects.
Debrief it – Connect the experience to who you are, what you do and your organisations community spirit.
