Highlights
Our Event Teams have travelled far and wide! From Byron Bay to Rottnest Island, all over Sydney, managed 48 hour Amazing Races Around Perth, scaled buildings in Melbourne and jumped out of helicopters on the Gold Coast - all in the name of providing fun, dynamic and innovative team building events for our clients!
It’s refreshing to see that many companies are keen to explore new ideas and challenges for their staff. The sheer number of ‘out of this world’ unique events we have developed and managed has certainly tested our creative processes! And it’s great to be given the opportunity to blow our clients expectations away with experiences that are never to be forgotten.
Event Tips
A vital element to a well-organised event is sign posting and any danger areas marked very clearly. Careful sign posting saves confusion and potential danger and gets your guests heading in the right direction. You don’t want to leave people wondering where to turn, so make sure there are also sufficient signs to direct people to your location. Signs need to be large, clean and to the point. And most importantly, they must be highly visible.

Adventures on the West Side…
Battling the elements Jodi and Blake took off to Rottnest Island, the gorgeous hideaway just off the coast of Perth. Gearing up for an Amazing Race Around Rotto, the hatches were battened down as the winds picked up and the rain pelted down! Making some last minute adjustments to the race route, amazing racers from Rio Tinto were too engrossed in the race spirit to let the weather spoil their fun!
Faced with the first detour all teams chose to eat a tin of sardines (yuk) opposed to fishing for a catch! Back on their bikes and around the island they rode, as there mettle and fitness was tested, just ask poor Blake who cycled the island twice to keep an eye on everyone, teams completed a number of hilarious and tough challenges along the way. In true race spirit, there was some very creative sabotage that went undetected until race end, and with wet weather outfits being donned by all, it was a great opportunity to do some speed sightseeing whilst racing around the island.
These Amazing Racers were no pedestrians and they impressed the XL team with their determination, enthusiasm and great teamwork.
Once crossing the finish l
ne the Amazing Racers relaxed around the log fire regaling their stories of adventure & excitement!
A challenging event in itself, however add some weather and it made the whole thing more memorable.
A great day had by all and plenty of stories will be shared in the lunch room for the next few months! Thanks Rio Tinto for being great sports and fierce competitors!

PANASONIC Challenge Day
What would you think if your company asked you to jump out of a helicopter, race around in a high powered WRX rally car, fling yourself across the water on a high powered jet ski, parachute from 10’000 feet, and then , just for good measure, mountain bike the paths across Surfers Paradise and beyond?
The sun shone brightly on the Panasonic Challenge Day held on the gorgeous Gold Coast. A high octane… Read More…
